This hay schnapps recipe was well guarded and passed down from generation to generation. No stranger was let in on the secret of the recipe.

How a crazy idea became a cult distillate.
When we woke up the Hotel Wetterhorn after its almost 30-year hibernation, we discovered a document in the cellar vault that seemed to be several centuries old.
The hay schnapps recipe was well guarded and passed down from generation to generation. No one was let in on the secret of the recipe. How the recipe got into the basement of the Hotel Wetterhorn is still unknown.
But we are determined to distill the hay schnapps according to old tradition and to bring it to the people.
